We are working with local residents to request that Islington Council aid the covid recovery of both local people and independent businesses with a dedicated fund to assist with the re-skilling and up-skilling of our local residents. We would like to see:
- A grant made available to the Islington based SME’s offering employment and apprenticeship schemes;
- A better understanding that unemployment is a wellness issue and that we all have a responsibility to support those seeking work; and
- By aiding SME’s to provide opportunities to both support the local economy and the overall health of the community.
